The PDCMS Band and Color Guard programs aim to inspire students to develop a lifelong passion for performing music and pageantry. Learning about music and the performing arts is essential for the development of all students, and it can be a facility for creative expression. The academic instruction of performing arts is the right of all students in CA and must be recognized for the enrichment it brings to classrooms, campuses, and communities. In our programs, we acknowledge that each student is a valuable and unique individual, and their voice holds significance. Our programs and facilities offer a safe space where everyone can learn and perform.
We welcome students from all cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, races, abilities, and identities to learn, practice, and participate in the joy of performing with others. We value musical, artistic, and academic excellence in each musician and color guard student. Our exceptional students serve as role models for their peers on campus and take great pride in their achievements. We aim to create a positive, encouraging, and motivating artistic environment for each musician to achieve their highest potential.
